We are excited to announce that we are now offering reformer sessions at our Richmond clinic!
If this wasn’t enough, a we have a brand-new piece of large Pilates equipment at Wimbledon called the split-pedal chair.
Many people ask which is more suitable for them and while we usually suggest that, if you’re brand new to Pilates, it’s a good idea to understand the basics on the mat before the reformer, ultimately it’s your decision. Just like the mat classes the reformer classes are closely supervised to ensure you are getting the most out of the exercise.
To understand more about the reformer, you can have a read of our previous blog.
The chair adds more versatility to the Pilates regime, and is a wonderful way of exercising sitting upright, standing, and I challenge anyone who doesn’t feel the benefit of a ‘mermaid’ stretch on the chair!
As always it is worth reiterating that you are not expected to know how to use these pieces of equipment, the equipment sessions are extremely closely monitored to ensure you are doing the right thing and in a safe manner.
We hope you enjoy the new equipment and please get in touch if you’d like to find out more about a session with the reformer or the chair.
