Aviva

  1. Get a GP or consultant referral for physiotherapy
  2. Call the Aviva claims department
  3. Let them know you have a GP referral, you know which clinic you would like to be referred to (i.e. Physio Central, Wimbledon) and could you get an authorisation code. They may try to refer you through the Nuffield network, but let them know the clinic you would like to go to is registered with Aviva but not with Nuffield, so could you just get an authorisation code
  4. Book online to see one of our physios (you get a choice if there is a specific clinician you would like to see). When you book there is a ‘notes’ box – please enter your insurance policy/membership number as well as the authorisation code. Alternatively you can email or call us.

AXA

  1. Call the AXA claims department and let them know you would like to make claim for physiotherapy but that the clinic you would like to go to (i.e. Physio Central Wimbledon) are not directly registered with AXA but do treat their clients. Ask them if you would be able to pay the clinic directly for your treatment and then claim it back.
  2. AXA may give you an authorisation code, but may require you to get a GP referral first before they give you an authorisation code. Go to step 3 once you have the code
  3. Book online to see one of our physios (you get a choice if there is a specific clinician you would like to see – when you book there is a ‘notes’ box – please enter your insurance policy/membership number as well as the authorisation code (if you have been given one). Alternatively you can email or call us. You do not need to go to step 4

BUPA

  1. Call the BUPA claims department
  2. Let them know you would like to get authorised to undergo physiotherapy treatment and that you know which clinic you would like to be referred to (i.e. Physio Central Wimbledon). They may say you require a GP or consultant referral (after which proceed to step 3) or you may be transferred for an initial telephone assessment (in which case, proceed to step 4)
  3. Once you have got your referral you may need to call BUPA (as in step 2) to get an authorisation code. Once you have this code, book online[link] to see one of our physios (you get a choice if there is a specific clinician you would like to see). When you book there is a ‘notes’ box – please enter your insurance policy/membership number as well as the authorisation code. Alternatively you can email or call us. You do not need to go to step 4
  4. They should then transfer you to a physio from Nuffield Health who will ask you some questions over the phone. They should then refer you for a physio assessment – at this point let them know which clinic you would like to go to and they will refer you to us. Book in as in step 3

CIGNA

  1. Get a GP or consultant referral for physiotherapy
  2. Call the CIGNA claims department
    Let them know you have a GP referral, you know which clinic you would like to be referred to (i.e. Physio Central, Wimbledon) and could you get an authorisation code. They may try to refer you through the Nuffield network, but let them know the clinic you would like to go to is registered with CIGNA but not with Nuffield, so could you just get an authorisation code
  3. Book online to see one of our physios (you get a choice if there is a specific clinician you would like to see). When you book there is a ‘notes’ box – please enter your insurance policy/membership number as well as the authorisation code. Alternatively you can email or call us.

Simplyhealth

  1. Get a GP or consultant referral for physiotherapy
  2. Call the Simplyhealth claims department
  3. Let them know you have a GP referral, you know which clinic you would like to be referred to (i.e. Physio Central, Wimbledon) and could you get an authorisation code. They may try to refer you through the Nuffield network, but let them know the clinic you would like to go to is registered with Simplyhealth but not with Nuffield, so could you just get an authorisation code

Vitality

  1. Get a GP or consultant referral for physiotherapy. You may be able to do this using the Vitality GP service
  2. Call the Vitality claims department
  3. Let them know you have a GP referral, you know which clinic you would like to be referred to (i.e. Physio Central, Wimbledon) and could you get an authorisation code. They may try to refer you through the Nuffield network, but let them know the clinic you would like to go to is registered with Vitality but not with Nuffield, so could you just get an authorisation code
  4. Book online to see one of our physios (you get a choice if there is a specific clinician you would like to see). When you book there is a ‘notes’ box – please enter your insurance policy/membership number as well as the authorisation code. Alternatively you can email or call us.

WPA
